The value of common date silver dimes, quarters and half dollars are typically divided into 90% and 40% silver bullion. Dimes, quarters and half dollars dated 1964 and earlier are typically bought and sold as 90% bullion. Half dollars dated 1965 through 1970 are typically considered 40% silver bullion. The values of these coins will change depending on the silver market fluctuations.
Please keep in mind that certain key dates are exceptions and will be priced differently.
VERY IMPORTANT “NEVER CLEAN YOUR COINS AS CLEANING COINS USUALLY LOWERS THEIR COLLECTIBLE VALUE”.
To get an up-to-date price for your silver coins please call us at 941-952-0100 during normal business hours or stop by our storefront at 1650 Main Street in Sarasota, FL.
To better assist you we have included some of the key dates for pennies, nickels, silver dimes, quarters, half dollars and dollars dating 1964 or earlier. It is also important to note that many other dates in exceptionally good condition may command higher premiums than the same coins in poor condition.
Please note that with collectibles the condition of an item can have a much greater impact on it’s value than it’s age alone. The value of coins can be greatly decreased if they have been cleaned; therefore we encourage people not to clean their coins.
Coins in series other than those listed here need to be seen to best be able to determine their value. We also deal in foreign coins and currency. Please feel free to bring any items and we will do our best to evaluate them and make an offer.
